New Insights into Metagenomic Datasets through Metadata

Madis Rumming (started November 2013)

Comparing different Metagenomic studies is a very challenging task. No comparable results are yet to be expected or automatically computed.

Various pipelines are applied to meta genomic sample sets and therefore the results also vary in many different ways. The use of interpretable project comparison rules and the interpretation of those comparisons itself are not sufficiently investigated.

The main goal of this project is to find a way for automatic metadata acquisition, processing the heterogenous data, further data analysis with up-to-date Data Mining techniques and to generate reasonable semantics on the data.
