The German-Canadian international research training group
at Bielefeld University, Germany, offers one qualification fellowship. It is a one-year scholarship for BSc graduates allowing, after one year of preparatory studies and research, to directly continue in the PhD program. Monthly tax-free allowance of 800 Euros.
Candidates should hold an excellent Bachelor or equivalent in Bioinformatics, Mathematics, Computer science, or related areas with a clear focus on computer science. They have to demonstrate broad background in the interdisciplinary field of bioinformatics in general and deeper knowledge in at least one of the research areas of our program. As students must be able to communicate their work in the research training group, and have to quickly integrate into both the Bielefeld and Vancouver environment, good communication skills are demanded. Knowledge of the English language is required, whereas German is not necessary.
